severe thunderstorm warning in effect At 7:05 p.m. CDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts and up to toonie size hail. This severe thunderstorm is located 13 kilometres west of South Narrow Lake, moving east at 65 km/h. Hazard: 90 km/h wind gusts and up to quarter size hail. Locations impacted include: South Narrow Lake, Cedartree Lake, Kakagi Lake, Flint Lake, Shingwak Lake, Little Mekenak Lake, Denmark Lake and Overflow Lake. ### Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Locally heavy rain is also possible. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors! Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
