Flood Warning issued July 23 at 10:06PM CDT until July 24 at 1:00AM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following counties, Brazoria, Fort Bend and Harris. * WHEN...Until 100 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Areas of slow moving or standing water continue. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1005 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 4 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue for another few hours, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Northwestern Pearland, Sugar Land, Missouri City, Stafford, First Colony, Fresno, Town West, Astrodome Area, Meadows Place, Fondren Gardens, Brays Oaks, Fifth Street, Fort Bend Houston, Westbury, Westwood, Braeburn, Meyerland Area, Sharpstown, Alief and Willowbend. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
