Heavy Rain Risk Area The low-pressure cell has moved into the Gulf of Martaban. Meanwhile the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf. Heavy rain and isolated very heavy rain are likely in the western and lower North, the western Central and the East while less rain is expected over the rest regions but isolated heavy rain remain. The rather strong wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf are expected 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. People in the North, the Central and the East should beware of heavy to very heavy rain and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf keep ashore lasting 28 September 2026.
