Strength : Maximum winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph. Tomorrow (25 September) until Saturday (26 September): Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental, and Sarangani. HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS 24-Hour Sea Condition Outlook Coastal waters have forecast wave heights of less than 2.0 m. TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK It must be emphasized that heavy rainfall and severe winds may still be experienced in localities outside the landfall point and the forecast confidence cone. Refer to “Other Hazards affecting Land Areas” for more details. Furthermore, the track may still shift within the limit of the forecast confidence cone. Tropical Storm QUEENIE will generally move west northwestward until Friday (25 September) before turning north northeastward by Monday (28 September) and will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Tuesday (29 September) morning. This tropical cyclone will gradually intensify while inside the PAR. It may reach typhoon category by Sunday (27 September).
