Coastal waters from Little Egg Inlet to Great Egg Inlet NJ out 20 NM... Coastal waters from Manasquan Inlet to Little Egg Inlet NJ out 20 NM... Waters from Little Egg Inlet NJ to Great Egg Inlet NJ from 20 to 60 NM... Waters from Manasquan Inlet NJ to Little Egg Inlet NJ from 20 to 60 NM... At 604 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 14 nm southeast of Garden State North Reef, moving southeast at 35 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include... Ocean Gate, Little Egg Reef, Ship Bottom, Barnegat Light Reef, Garden State South Reef, Harvey Cedars, Forked River, Beach Haven, North Beach Haven, Barnegat Light, Garden State North Reef, Little Egg Inlet, Pine Beach, and Seaside Park. Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes. Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the open water, stay below deck if possible and keep away from ungrounded metal objects.
