Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Periods of showers and thunderstorms are expected today through Sunday. Locations that receive multiple rounds of locally heavy rainfall could experience instances of flash flooding. Movement was east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol Tn, Bristol Va, Greeneville, Elizabethton, Abingdon, Erwin, Gate City, and Jonesborough. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
