Tornado Watch issued June 18 at 1:26PM CDT until June 18 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Duluth MN THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 433 IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN MINNESOTA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 10 COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA AITKIN CROW WING PINE IN NORTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA CASS ITASCA KOOCHICHING IN NORTHEAST MINNESOTA CARLTON COOK LAKE ST. LOUIS THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF AITKIN, BRAINERD, CASS LAKE, CASTLE DANGER, CLOQUET, DULUTH, EAST GULL LAKE, ESTERDY, GRAND MARAIS, GRAND RAPIDS, HINCKLEY, INTERNATIONAL FALLS, LAKE SHORE, PINE CITY, PINE RIVER, SCHLEY, SILVER BAY, TWO HARBORS, AND WALKER. THIS ALSO INCLUDES THE TRIBAL LANDS OF THE FOND DU LAC BAND, SAWYER DISTRICT, THE GRAND PORTAGE RESERVATION, THE FOND DU LAC BAND, CLOQUET DISTRICT, THE FOND DU LAC BAND, BROOKSTON DISTRICT, THE MILLE LACS BAND, BIG SANDY LAKE, , HINCKLEY, , LENA LAKE AND, EAST LAKE AREAS AND THE BOIS FORTE BAND, NETT LAKE, , DEER CREEK AND, LAKE VERMILION AREAS.

Lake Superior west of a line from Saxon Harbor WI to Grand Portage MN beyond 5NM... Silver Bay Harbor to Two Harbors MN... Taconite Harbor to Silver Bay Harbor MN... Two Harbors to Duluth MN... At 418 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 33 nm northwest of Tofte to 32 nm northwest of Beaver Bay, moving southeast at 20 knots. Locations impacted include... Knife River Marina, Castle Danger, Sugar Loaf Cove, Tofte Safe Harbor, Duluth Lift Bridge Channel, Twin Points Safe Harbor, Tofte, Taconite Harbor, Beaver Bay, Mouth Of The Cross River, Two Harbors Protected Access Agate Bay, McQuade Harbor, Larsmont, Split Rock Lighthouse, Stoney Point, Silver Bay Marina and Ore Dock, and French River. Mariners can expect gusty winds up to 33 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
