Flash Flood Warning issued September 14 at 8:04AM CDT until September 14 at 12:30PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO At 804 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. The heaviest rain has pushed north and east of the warned area. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly due to runoff from the earlier heavy rainfall. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
