Drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun, and stay in an air-conditioned room. Check up on relatives and neighbors, and provide pets with adequate water and shelter from the sun. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Review heat safety and preparedness information at weather.gov/safety/heat. If you do not have air conditioning in your home or lack shelter, you can call 211 or visit pa211.org for assistance locating appropriate shelter from the heat.
