For the Saddle River...including Lodi...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Saddle River near Lodi. * WHEN...From this morning to this afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 5.5 feet, Saddle River begins to overflow into the back parking lot of the Boys and Girls club. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 5.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 5.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon to a crest of 5.7 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage this afternoon. - Flood stage is 5.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 6.1 feet on 01/27/1996. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Eastern Passaic County in northeastern New Jersey... * Until 100 PM EDT. * At 1103 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1 inch in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
