HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Janesville, Beloit, South Beloit, Milton, Clinton, Tiffany, Avalon, Shopiere, Afton, Emerald Grove, Johnstown Center, Foxhollow, and Lima Center. People attending Beloit Fridays in the Park should seek safe shelter immediately! Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
