Flood Advisory issued June 22 at 2:12PM MST until June 22 at 4:15PM MST by NWS Tucson AZ * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of Tucson including the Catalina Foothills to Tanque Verde and Sabino Canyon. * WHEN...Until 415 PM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry washes. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 212 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Tucson, Casas Adobes, Flowing Wells, Tanque Verde, Sabino Canyon Recreation Area, Catalina Foothills, Saguaro National Park East and Seven Falls. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
