In Southwest WY Fire Zone....279. * COUNTIES AFFECTED: In Central WY...Fremont...Natrona. In Southwest WY...Sweetwater. * IMPACTS: Low Humidities and Strong Gusty Winds could cause erratic fire behavior. * WIND: West 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 to 50 mph. * HUMIDITY: As low as 10 to 15 percent. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

Local gusts around 75 mph in the Absaroka Mountains. * WHERE...Upper Wind River Basin, Absaroka Mountains, and the Cody Foothills. * WHEN...From midnight Monday to 2 PM MDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will make travel difficult. Strong crosswind gusts on area highways could cause high-profile vehicle blow-overs. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind gusts 35 to 45 mph will be common around Cody, while areas near Clark and between Meeteetse and the Park County Landfill south of Cody have a better chance of seeing localized gusts 55 to 65 mph. People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind.
