orange warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 6:16 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a dangerous thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, golf ball to tennis ball size hail and heavy rain. This cluster of thunderstorms is located 70 km southwest of Valleyview and is moving to the north at 50 km/h. ### Heavy rain will likely cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Large hail will likely cause significant damage and injury. Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail.
