Special Weather Statement issued May 26 at 11:38PM EDT by NWS Upton NY A dense fog advisory is now in effect for Long Island and Southern Connecticut with widespread visibilities one quarter mile or less.

Special Weather Statement issued May 26 at 10:38PM EDT by NWS Upton NY Fog will continue to develop tonight reducing visibilities to less than a mile through early Sunday morning. Patchy dense fog is also expected with visibilities less than a quarter mile at times. Travelers should be prepared for quickly changing visibilities. Slow down and use your low beams in the fog.
