Flood Advisory issued June 21 at 7:17PM EDT until June 21 at 9:15PM EDT by NWS Tallahassee FL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Alabama, including the following county, Henry and southwest Georgia, including the following counties, Calhoun, Clay, Dougherty, Lee, Quitman, Randolph and Terrell. * WHEN...Until 915 PM EDT /815 PM CDT/. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 717 PM EDT /617 PM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Dawson, Cuthbert, Leesburg, Albany, Georgetown, Shellman, Smithville, East Albany, Turner City, Sasser, Bronwood, Parrott, Graves, Doverel, Martins Crossroads, Yeomans, Pachitla, Oakville and Herod. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
