Flood Warning issued June 28 at 3:57AM CDT until June 28 at 4:00AM CDT by NWS Springfield MO The Flood Warning will expire at 4 AM CDT early this morning for a portion of southeast Kansas, including the following area, Cherokee. Flood waters have receded. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures.

Heat Advisory issued June 27 at 1:17PM CDT until July 2 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Springfield MO * WHAT...Daily heat index values around 100 degrees. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas and central, east central, south central, southwest, and west central Missouri. * WHEN...From noon Sunday to 8 PM CDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
