Flood Advisory issued July 6 at 1:11PM EDT until July 6 at 4:15PM EDT by NWS Wilmington OH * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...The following county, in northern Kentucky, Pendleton. * WHEN...Until 415 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 111 PM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Williamstown, Falmouth, Morgan, Gene Snyder Airport, Goforth, Catawba, Marcus, Kincaid Lake State Park, Mckinneysburg and Knoxville. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Special Weather Statement issued July 6 at 1:35PM EDT by NWS Wilmington OH At 135 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Williamstown, moving northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, pea size hail, and very heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation. Visibility will be poor and hydroplaning is possible. Locations impacted include... Williamstown, Falmouth, Morgan, Corinth, Goforth, Greenwood, Cherry Grove, Williamstown Lake, Keefer, Marcus, Catawba, Camp Northward, Gene Snyder Airport, Lawrenceville, Cordova, and Mckinneysburg. This includes I-75 in Kentucky between mile markers 144 and 155. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building. Motorists should slow down and use extra caution.
