East Central Perry County in southeastern Kentucky... * Until 645 PM EDT. * At 346 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Letcher, Bath, Vicco, Blackey, Carcassonne, Gander, Carbon Glow, David, Arminta, Elko, Cody, Indian Bottom, Smithsboro, Carr Creek, Redfox, Red Star, Dirk, Jeremiah, Bluefield and Amelia. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Locations that are impacted by repeated heavy downpours may receive excessive rainfall which leads to flash flooding.
