Flood Advisory issued September 21 at 10:54PM EDT until September 22 at 2:00AM EDT by NWS Jackson KY * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Central Knox County in southeastern Kentucky... * WHEN...Until 200 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1054 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Barbourville, Cannon, Heidrick, Girdler, Baileys Switch, Hinkle, Yeager, Jarvis, Bimble, Green Road, Boone Heights, Lowell, Bentley Station, Emmanuel, Baughman, Garrich, Artemus, Dishman Springs, Arkle and Barnyard. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
