Coastal waters from Manasquan Inlet to Little Egg Inlet NJ out 20 NM... At 557 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Harvey Cedars, moving east at 20 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail. SOURCE...Buoy. At 5:54 PM, the LBI Island Surf buoy measured a gust of 35 kt. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include... Barnegat Light, Garden State North Reef, Harvey Cedars, and Ship Bottom. Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are expected. Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the open water, stay below deck if possible and keep away from ungrounded metal objects.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible. Locations impacted include... Surf City, Beach Haven West, and Manahawkin. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm, and the storm will affect the beaches. For your safety, immediately move off the beach and seek shelter indoors.

At 526 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located 15 nm west of Forked River, moving east at 15 knots. Locations impacted include... Barnegat Light, Garden State North Reef, Ship Bottom, Barnegat Light Reef, Harvey Cedars, Forked River, and North Beach Haven. Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
