Raccoon River at Des Moines Fleur Dr affecting Polk County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...The Des Moines River at Fort Dodge, or from the municipal power dam...to Lehigh. * WHEN...From this morning to Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Water affects lowland areas near the river and threatens residences along the river in Fort Dodge. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 10.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this morning to a crest of 11.4 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 10.5 feet. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
