Tornado Watch issued June 29 at 2:00PM CDT until June 29 at 10:00PM CDT by NWS Aberdeen SD THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 415 IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CDT /9 PM MDT/ THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN SOUTH DAKOTA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 6 COUNTIES IN NORTH CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA CAMPBELL CORSON MCPHERSON IN NORTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA BROWN MARSHALL ROBERTS THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ABERDEEN, BRITTON, EUREKA, HERREID, MCINTOSH, AND SISSETON.

Heat Advisory issued June 29 at 1:02PM CDT until June 29 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Aberdeen SD * WHAT...Heat index values up to 105. * WHERE...Roberts County. * WHEN...Until 8 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.
