Overnight recoveries as low as 35 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Dry lightning will be possible on Tuesday with isolated storms during the afternoon and evening hours. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

Special Weather Statement issued June 8 at 2:31PM MDT by NWS Cheyenne WY At 230 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Bordeaux, or near Wheatland, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Wheatland, Phifer Airfield, Chugcreek, Lakeview North, Bordeaux, Y-O Ranch, Grayrocks Reservoir, Slater, Platte County Fairgrounds, and Antelope Gap. This includes Interstate 25 in Wyoming between mile markers 70 and 82. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
