Flash Flood Warning issued July 23 at 5:46PM CDT until July 23 at 9:00PM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX FFWHGX The National Weather Service in League City has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... East Central Fort Bend County in southeastern Texas... Harris County in southeastern Texas... * Until 900 PM CDT. * At 546 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2.5 to 4 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Northwestern Pearland, Sugar Land, Missouri City, Stafford, Fresno, First Colony, Meadows Place, Fondren Gardens, Fort Bend Houston, Brays Oaks, Fifth Street, Westbury, Westwood, Meyerland Area, Central Southwest, Willowbend, northern Riverstone, Alief, South Main and Sunnyside. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Flood Advisory issued July 23 at 5:08PM CDT until July 23 at 8:15PM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following counties, Brazoria, Fort Bend and Harris. * WHEN...Until 815 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 508 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small stream flooding. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
