This tropical cyclone will likely intensify into a typhoon tomorrow and will strengthen further while moving over the sea east of Ryukyu Islands. After reaching peak intensity, QUEENIE will begin to weaken by Monday (28 September).

Outside the PAR, QUEENIE will accelerate as it moves northeastward away from the country. This tropical cyclone will gradually intensify while inside PAR. It may reach typhoon category by Sunday.
