HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots and small hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high winds. Small craft could capsize in suddenly higher waves. severe thunderstorms will be near... Mamaroneck Harbor around 755 PM EDT. Execution Rocks around 800 PM EDT. Little Neck Bay and Captain Harbor around 805 PM EDT. Hempstead Harbor, Manhasset Bay, Saddle Rock, and Stamford Harbor around 810 PM EDT. Oyster Bay and Long Neck Point around 820 PM EDT. Cold Spring Harbor, Oyster Bay Harbor, and Norwalk Islands around 825 PM EDT. Huntington Bay around 830 PM EDT. Penfield Reef around 840 PM EDT. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass. Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, small hail, high waves, lightning, and heavy rain are expected with these storms. If caught on the open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal objects.
