Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 100 degrees then develop this afternoon and continue through this evening. * WHERE...Portions of east central, south central, and southeast Wisconsin. * WHEN...Until 10 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Stay cool, stay hydrated, stay informed.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Northern Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, Brookfield, Menomonee Falls, Mequon, Whitefish Bay, Pewaukee, Brown Deer, Grafton, Cedarburg, Port Washington, Sussex, Hartland, Delafield, Jackson, Fox Point, Slinger, Saukville, Bayside, and Thiensville. This includes the following highways... Interstate 43 between mile markers 76 and 103. Interstate 41 between mile markers 44 and 67. U.S. Highway 45 between mile markers 61 and 67. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
