Flood Warning issued June 5 at 3:59AM CDT until June 5 at 9:00AM CDT by NWS Topeka KS * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Kansas, including the following county, Brown. * WHEN...Until 900 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 358 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 6.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Hiawatha, Horton, Everest, Fairview, Robinson, Powhattan, Hamlin, Willis and Kickapoo Reservation. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
