Slate Creek At Wellington affecting Sumner and Cowley Counties. Ninnescah River near Belle Plaine affecting Sumner County. ...The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following rivers in Kansas... Walnut River at Winfield affecting Butler and Cowley Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Arkansas River at Arkansas City. * WHEN...Until early Thursday morning. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 14.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.0 feet early Tuesday morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Wednesday afternoon. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued this evening at 1000 PM CDT.

In southeast Kansas, Chautauqua, Elk, Labette, Montgomery, Neosho and Wilson. * WHEN...Until 1 AM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional round of showers and storms producing heavy rainfall will be possible this evening into tonight, causing additional flooding. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
