Flood Watch issued June 25 at 11:53AM CDT until June 26 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Kansas, including the following areas, Johnson KS, Leavenworth, Linn KS, Miami and Wyandotte and Missouri, including the following areas, Bates, Cass, Clay, Cooper, Henry, Howard, Jackson, Johnson MO, Lafayette, Pettis, Platte and Saline. * WHEN...Through Friday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A very moist airmass in place will bring the potential for high rainfall rates and flooding with any thunderstorms. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Flood Advisory issued June 25 at 3:32PM CDT until June 25 at 6:30PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Cooper County in central Missouri... Southwestern Howard County in central Missouri... * WHEN...Until 630 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 328 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. These storms are expanding in coverage across the advisory area. Rainfall rates under the heaviest downpours may exceed 2 inches per hour. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Boonville, New Franklin, Pilot Grove, Bunceton, Prairie Home, Franklin, Wooldridge and Lamine. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
