Heat Advisory issued June 20 at 11:20PM CDT until June 21 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Tulsa OK * WHAT...Heat index values up to 108 expected. * WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Arkansas and east central, northeast, and southeast Oklahoma. * WHEN...From 1 PM to 7 PM CDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses are possible especially impacting those not acclimated to the conditions or those performing strenuous activities. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Movement was east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations in or near the path include... Bartlesville... Nowata... Pawhuska... Pawnee... Hominy... Dewey... Cleveland... Fairfax... Barnsdall... South Coffeyville... Copan... Ramona... Wynona... Ochelata... Delaware... Ralston... Avant... Lenapah... Osage... Wann... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
