Black Hawk Creek at Hudson affecting Black Hawk County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...The Iowa River at Marshalltown, or from Minerva Creek near Albion...to Timber Creek near Le Grand. * WHEN...From this afternoon to early Friday morning. * IMPACTS...At 19.5 feet, Water affects the southbound lanes of Iowa 14 as well as Iowa 330 south of Albion. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 18.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon to a crest of 19.3 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening. - Flood stage is 19.0 feet. For the latest river and stream observations and forecasts refer to weather.gov/desmoines/water. Flood Warning issued May 21 at 10:32PM CDT until May 22 at 9:00AM CDT by NWS Des Moines IA * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of central, north central, and northeast Iowa, including the following counties, in central Iowa, Grundy, Hardin, Jasper, Marshall, Polk, Poweshiek, Story and Tama. In north central Iowa, Butler and Franklin. In northeast Iowa, Black Hawk and Bremer. * WHEN...Until 900 AM CDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams are still rising in some areas due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. In addition, significant ponding remains in place. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1032 PM CDT, Emergency management reported ongoing flooding across the warned area.
