Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 30 at 1:32AM CDT until June 30 at 2:15AM CDT by NWS Duluth MN At 132 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Island Lake to near Kettle River, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Duluth, Cloquet, Hermantown, Moose Lake, Scanlon, Carlton, Barnum, Mahtowa, Thomson, Island Lake, Proctor, Wrenshall, Nemadji, Superior, French River, McQuade Harbor, Oliver, Knife River, Larsmont, Stoney Point, Two Harbors, Holyoke and Wisconsin Point. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for northeastern Minnesota...and northwestern Wisconsin. Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Although a tornado is not immediately likely, if one is spotted, act quickly and move to a place of safety inside a sturdy structure such as a basement or small interior room. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

Tornado Watch issued June 30 at 12:19AM CDT until June 30 at 2:00AM CDT by NWS Duluth MN THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS EXTENDED TORNADO WATCH 419 TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING AREAS UNTIL 2 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING IN MINNESOTA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 3 COUNTIES IN NORTHEAST MINNESOTA CARLTON LAKE ST. LOUIS IN WISCONSIN THIS WATCH INCLUDES 1 COUNTY IN NORTHWEST WISCONSIN DOUGLAS THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF CASTLE DANGER, CLOQUET, DULUTH, SILVER BAY, SUPERIOR, AND TWO HARBORS. THIS ALSO INCLUDES THE TRIBAL LANDS OF THE FOND DU LAC BAND, CLOQUET DISTRICT, THE FOND DU LAC BAND, SAWYER DISTRICT, THE FOND DU LAC BAND, BROOKSTON DISTRICT AND THE BOIS FORTE BAND, LAKE VERMILION AND, NETT LAKE AREAS.
