HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines. * Locations impacted include... Akron, Cuyahoga Falls, Kent, Hudson, Tallmadge, Streetsboro, Stow, Broadview Heights, Munroe Falls, Richfield, Silver Lake, Boston Heights, Peninsula, and Montrose-Ghent. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Air Quality Alert issued July 17 at 9:00PM EDT by NWS Cleveland OH An Air Quality Advisory for ground level fine particles has been issued by the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency for Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit Counties. The advisory is from midnight tonight to midnight Saturday night. Everyone may experience health effects during this period and should check air quality readings at airnow.gov.
