Flood Watch issued July 13 at 2:30PM MDT until July 15 at 6:00AM MDT by NWS Glasgow MT * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Montana, including the following areas, Central and Southeast Phillips, Petroleum and Southwest Phillips. * WHEN...From Tuesday evening through late Tuesday night. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms will be moving east into the Watch area, with the potential of heavy downpours that would bring flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

For the Lake Wind Advisory, northeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph expected. * WHERE...Central and Southeast Phillips, Central and Southern Valley, Garfield, McCone, and Petroleum Counties. * WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, until 2 AM MDT Wednesday. For the Lake Wind Advisory, from 10 AM this morning to noon MDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create hazardous conditions for small craft. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Boaters on Fort Peck Lake should use extra caution since strong winds and rough waves can overturn small craft. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
