yellow warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 1:05 a.m. CST, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, loonie to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain. Thunderstorm Location: From 40 km east of Snowden to 45 km northeast of Gronlid to 25 km west of Lac Vert Motion: Moving quickly to the east at 60 km/h Hazards: Wind: damaging (90 - 110 km/h) Hail: up to quarter size (up to 2.5 cm) Rain: heavy (15 - 50 mm) Locations in the Path: Ridgedale Tobin Lake Pleasantdale Valparaiso Aylsham Tisdale Zenon Park Sylvania Eldersley Crooked River ### Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Fast-moving and rapidly rising water can sweep vehicles away and damage infrastructure. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury. Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail.
