Heavy Rain Risk Area The low-pressure cell over the gulf of Martaban has moved to the middle coast of Myanmar. Meanwhile the moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf. Less rain is expected over rest regions but isolated heavy rain remains over the western part of the North, the Central and the East. The moderate wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf, are expected about 2 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. People in the North, the Central and the East should beware of heavy rain and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
