Heavy Rain Risk Area The active low-pressure cell over the middle coast of Vietnam has moved to cover Cambodia, expected to move along the monsoon trough lying across the Central and the East regions while the moderate southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf is strengthening. The high-pressure system covering the upper North and the upper Northeast is weakening. Isolated very heavy rain is possible in the East including Bangkok and vicinity while isolated heavy rain is likely in the lower Northeast, the Central and the South. People should beware of heavy to very heavy rain and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. The rather strong wind and waves in the upper Gulf are expected 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the upper Gulf keep ashore by lasting 27 September 2026.
