Northeastern Owen County in west central Indiana... * Until 745 PM EDT. * At 708 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Spencer, or 20 miles northwest of Bloomington, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * Locations impacted include... Spencer, Gosport, Stinesville, McCormicks Creek State Park, Devore, and Quincy. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.

Greencastle, Brazil, Linton, Rockville, Bloomfield, Spencer, Ellettsville, Jasonville, Cloverdale, Worthington, Seelyville, Dugger, Knightsville, Clay City, Gosport, Hymera, Bainbridge, Lyons, Rosedale, and Carlisle. This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 18 and 52. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for southwestern and west central Indiana.
