Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Illinois River at Chewey affecting Cherokee, Adair and Delaware Counties. Flint Creek near Kansas affecting Cherokee and Delaware Counties. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Flint Creek near Kansas. * WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, minor flooding occurs from Fidlers Bend to Chewey Bridge. Permanent campgrounds and farmlands are affected.
