Missouri River At Omaha affecting Pottawattamie, Sarpy and Douglas Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Missouri River at Omaha. * WHEN...From this afternoon to Monday, July 01. * IMPACTS...At 36.0 feet, Water reaches the bottom of flood wall just north of Interstate 480. Low lying roads are also affected just east of Riverfront Drive north of the pedestrian bridge. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:15 AM CDT Monday the stage was 25.1 feet...or 1.9 feet below flood stage. - Bankfull stage is 27.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon to a crest of 34.6 feet early Wednesday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Monday, July 01. - Flood stage is 27.0 feet. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
