While soils have been dry recently, the high rates may exceed the soil's ability to absorb the rainfall in the short period of time. This may lead to flash flooding. This may be especially true in portions of Adair, Greene, and Taylor Counties, which have received rainfall in the past few days. Rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches with isolated higher amounts are expected by sunrise Friday. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
