Flash Flood Warning issued June 22 at 4:07PM MST until June 22 at 5:45PM MST by NWS Tucson AZ At 407 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms have produced heavy rain in Tucson. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Tucson, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Casas Adobes, Flowing Wells, Tanque Verde, South Tucson, Catalina Foothills and Sabino Canyon Recreation Area. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
