Flood Warning issued June 8 at 9:42AM CDT until June 8 at 3:30PM CDT by NWS Tulsa OK * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Oklahoma, including the following county, Ottawa. * WHEN...Until 330 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 941 AM CDT, Flooding is ongoing but additional heavy rain is unlikely. Between 2 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Miami... Commerce... Quapaw... Wyandotte... Picher... Ottawa... Peoria... Cardin... Twin Bridges State Park... - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
