Northeastern Garfield County in northern Oklahoma... * Until 730 PM CDT. * At 641 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 5 miles east of Kaw City to near Garber, moving southeast at 25 mph. The largest hail is currently with the storms near Billings and Garber. HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. * Locations impacted include... Heat Advisory issued July 4 at 12:29PM CDT until July 4 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Norman OK * WHAT...Heat index values up to 106. * WHERE...Portions of central, east central, northern, northwest, southeast, southern, and southwest Oklahoma. * WHEN...Until 8 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
