Movement was southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Dallas, Mesquite, Rockwall, Balch Springs, Forney, Royse City, Heath, Fate, Sunnyvale, and Mobile City around 725 PM CDT. Seagoville around 730 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Heartland, McLendon-Chisholm, Lawrence, Union Valley, Lake Ray Hubbard, and Post Oak Bend City. This includes the following highways... Interstate 20 between mile markers 480 and 501. Interstate 30 between mile markers 52 and 80. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
