Southeastern Hardin County in southeastern Texas... Jefferson County in southeastern Texas... Western Orange County in southeastern Texas... * Until 1015 AM CDT. * At 707 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Beaumont, Port Arthur, Nederland, Groves, Port Neches, Vidor, Nome, Central Gardens, Hamshire, Bevil Oaks, China, Rose City, Pine Forest, Lakeview, La Belle, Fannett, Southeast Texas Regional Airport and Port Acres. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Flood Warning issued May 2 at 6:46PM CDT until May 3 at 9:00AM CDT by NWS Lake Charles LA * WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following counties, Hardin, Jefferson and Orange. * WHEN...Until 900 AM CDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 646 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to Runoff from earlier rainfall. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 3 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Flood Watch issued May 3 at 4:05AM CDT until May 3 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Lake Charles LA * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Louisiana, including the following parishes, Allen, Avoyelles, Beauregard, Evangeline, Northern Calcasieu, Rapides and Vernon and southeast Texas, including the following areas, Hardin, Northern Jasper, Northern Newton, Northern Orange, Southern Jasper, Southern Newton, Tyler and Upper Jefferson. * WHEN...Through this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Another upper level disturbance is expected to work with a very moist air mass to produce showers and thunderstorms this morning through this afternoon. Additional rainfall amounts will average between 1 and 4 inches with locally higher amounts. The rain will fall on already saturated grounds along with high water levels and flows in creeks, bayous, and drainage ditches increasing the flood potential. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings.
