Flood Watch issued June 8 at 1:41AM CDT until June 9 at 1:00AM CDT by NWS St Louis MO * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Illinois, including the following areas, Bond IL, Brown IL, Calhoun IL, Clinton IL, Fayette IL, Greene IL, Jersey IL, Macoupin IL, Madison IL, Marion IL, Monroe IL, Montgomery IL, Pike IL, Saint Clair IL and Washington IL and Missouri, including the following areas, Franklin MO, Gasconade MO, Jefferson MO, Lincoln MO, Montgomery MO, Pike MO, Saint Charles MO, Saint Louis City MO, Saint Louis MO and Warren MO. * WHEN...From 7 AM CDT this morning through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Slow moving thunderstorms will be capable of locally heavy rainfall. Flood Advisory issued June 8 at 8:10AM CDT until June 8 at 11:15AM CDT by NWS St Louis MO * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...East Central Franklin County in east central Missouri... Northwestern Jefferson County in east central Missouri... Central Saint Charles County in east central Missouri... Saint Louis County in east central Missouri... * WHEN...Until 1115 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 810 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... O'Fallon, St. Charles, St. Peters, Florissant, Chesterfield, Wildwood, Ballwin, Kirkwood, Maryland Heights, Hazelwood, Manchester, Creve Coeur, Overland, Washington, St. Ann, Bridgeton, Dardenne Prairie and Town and Country. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
