Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued May 24 at 4:14PM CDT until May 24 at 4:45PM CDT by NWS Quad Cities IA IL At 413 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Grand Mound, or 16 miles north of Davenport, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Clinton, DeWitt, Camanche, Long Grove, Wheatland, Grand Mound, Calamus, Charlotte, Donahue, McCausland, Low Moor, Welton, Dixon, Goose Lake, Malone, Camp Liberty, Big Rock, Elvira, Clinton Municipal Airport, and Sherman Park. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Cedar River near Conesville affecting Muscatine and Louisa Counties. North Skunk River near Sigourney affecting Keokuk County. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa... Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Clinton and Scott Counties. Iowa River at Marengo affecting Iowa and Benton Counties. * WHAT...Major flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S. * WHEN...From Saturday morning until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Water affects many residences along the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 9.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage Saturday morning and continue rising to a crest of 13.2 feet early Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
